Autotrend are proud to announce that we are now an Electric & Hybrid vehicle certified garage.
Our fully qualified mechanics are now able to undertake MOTs, Repairs and Servicing of your electric or hybrid vehicle.
MOT
As with any other vehicle, your electric and hybrid vehicles still need an MOT after it is 3 years old. Most of the test is the same as standard MOT however a fully electric vehicle however doesn’t require the emissions test.
SERVICING
Electric and hybrid vehicles are often much more complex than regular petrol or diesel vehicles. Booking your vehicle in with Autotrend ensures that your vehicle is inspected and serviced by an electric vehicle qualified mechanic.
REPAIR
You may think there’s not much than can go wrong with an electric car but there is a lot more going on under the floor than you may think. Autotrend’s mechanics are specially trained and qualified to be able to handle electric and hybrid vehicle repairs.
We offer a range of electric vehicle servicing including:
Intermediate Service/ Low Mileage Service:
With an all-electric vehicle there’s no oil or filters to change however we offer diagnostic checks, battery health checks and a full visual inspection of the vehicle.
A hybrid vehicle is also much more complex than all-electric and petrol/diesel driven vehicles but that’s not a problem, our servicing will cater for both the fuel driven and electric driven parts of the vehicle.
Full Service/ Major Annual Service:
For hybrids, we offer an Oil & Filter change, Air, Fuel & Pollen filters and (Spark Plugs for Petrol Cars).
On our full service we also use industry approved fuel treatment and engine flush additives.
For all electric and hybrid vehicles we will ensure that all wheels are removed and a full brake report is carried out as well as a full suspension check and complete vehicle health check.
Mileage/ Age Specific service:
We have up-to-date to software that allows us to check exactly what service your car needs when it reaches a certain mileage or age.
